Make a Difference Day this past weekend was a success as a whole. However I did have student concerns about the project. Some mentioned that it was too unorganized, others that they did not feel as if they were adequately being utilized and overall I would have to say that I agree with them. I feel that the United Way and City Year did a great job rounding up volunteers, however the project that many groups were given simply did not feel like it was benefiting the Detroit community or the school. Tomorrow is Helen's Campus Walk for the UNICEF TAP PROJECT I am hoping to participate in it, take photos and help spread awareness and build funding.
